Welcome to a new year of CURSOR!
Introducing our new newsletter and our upcoming Attention! events
Hi! This is Anna from CURSOR - if you’re receiving this email, you’ve signed up and activated the CURSOR newsletter through MailerLite. We’ve moved the newsletter to Substack, so upcoming emails will come from here!
Since this is a fresh start, this newsletter will be slightly more juicy, but we’ll keep it brief. Generally, you can expect a newsletter around every 2 months, with a slightly deeper one around our new themes.
If you have any questions or comments, you can join the discussion on Discord or email me directly at anna@cursormag.net. If you can’t remember who CURSOR is - we have a little Notion page introducing us here.
Moving to Substack
Using any traditional newsletter service meant that each newsletter is a “campaign”, which made the process weird, business-like, and constructed. This in turn meant that there was no desire to create “campaigns”, and those who weren’t obsessively checking Discord or Instagram were left in the dark. Moving to Substack allows us to write more personally and share more of CURSOR.
This also means we have moved the contacts list (your name and email) to Substack and deleted the account on MailerLite (and with that all data from MailerLite).
Upcoming events in Copenhagen
Attention Grabbing Technologies on Sunday 25 February, 11am (Ungdommens Demokratihus, Kødbyen)
Join us for a half-day workshop with CURSOR member Kate Zápražná looking at Augmented Reality. This is our first collaboration with Ungdommens Demokratihus in Kødbyen, and was funded by Vesterbros Lokaludvalg and Snabslanten. The workshop is free, but please sign-up so we can provide the appropriate amount of snacks and expectations. Find the sign-up form and more practical info here.
Attention! Thursday Bar on Thursday 11 April, 7pm until midnight (Råhuset, Vesterbro)
Join us for the first-ever CURSOR Party as we celebrate the Attention! theme the only way you can celebrate Attention! - with loud music and cold beverages at Råhuset, also supported by Vesterbros Lokaludvalg and Snabslanten. Join us for a drink or two during the evening and check out the newest issue (and hear about our next theme).
CURSOR strategy
Next Tuesday we have our annual CURSOR strategy meeting where we discuss the year, the future and our dreams of CURSOR. If you would like to chime in on YOUR dreams for CURSOR, join our Discord which is also where we will post a summary.
Our main aim is to make CURSOR feel more collaborative, so we would love to hear your thoughts, especially when it comes to feeling involved!
That’s all for now. We hope you’ll continue following our newsletter and like this new format. Thank you for reading along!
